How long have you been hairdressing / at Hair Emporium?
I qualified nearly 30 years ago. I have worked in various areas of the industry including on cruise ships and teaching in college, before opening Hair Emporium at Hassocks in 1999 and the second salon at Brighton in 2005. I work at both locations.
Qualifications & Courses
I am qualified to Advanced city and guilds and am now a Master Craftsman with the Hairdressing Federation.
I have a NVQ teaching qualification.
I have trained with Wella colour, Vidal Sassoon cutting school, Patrick Cameron long hair up styling and many Aveda advanced cut and colour courses in London to keep me up to date!
What do you excel in?
I enjoy cutting, wedding hair and make up the most.
What inspired you to become a hairdresser?
I have always been into hair, its in my blood. I was inspired by Patrick Cameron, the master of long hair styling, early in my career.
What do you do in your spare time?
In my spare time I am busy with my family. I love to be creative; baking, sewing, gardening and diy!
My guilty pleasure is Haribo sweets and steak flavour McCoy crisps.
What did you do last summer?
I love to go camping near the beach…but not in the rain!
